It’s Time For The Sparx City Hop!

SPARX CITY HOP 2014 is Saturday, September 20th from 11am – 6pm.

About CITY HOP

Now in its twelfth year, CITY HOP celebrates the connectivity of our community. This renowned one-day event draws 20,000 patrons annually to explore what makes our city so special…connecting them to more than 100 galleries and artist studios, restaurants, several markets and dozens of retail shops.

Free trolley service “hops” patrons to core Cleveland districts including Downtown, the Warehouse District, the Gateway District, Ohio City, Tremont, the Art Quarter, AsiaTown and the St. Clair/Superior District. You can explore the Blue Line route, the Green Line route and the Red Line route all by exploring our page.

The Red Line, Green Line and Blue Line trolleys will take City Hoppers
through Downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods.

CITY HOP Features

As patrons loop through neighborhoods on Trolleys, they are able to fully grasp the breadth of diversity Cleveland offers…in its architecture, talented residents who celebrate visual and performing arts, and thriving culinary scene. No two neighborhoods are quite alike, and the popularity of CITY HOP indicates that our patrons are drawn to learning more about them.

Trolley Service is complimentary to all patrons and offers three routes that circle around districts and meet at a central interchange at PlayhouseSquare’s US Bank Plaza. Various stops along each route ensure that patrons can exit trolleys as they please to enjoy neighborhoods on foot.

Tour Guides on each trolley share interesting facts and points of interest as patrons relax and enjoy the scenery. Guides share scripted information as the trolley circles their route, ensuring that key points of interest are highlighted and tours are consistent. Guides are also well versed in neighborhoods and able to answer patron questions.

Welcome Centers are located at every trolley stop to ensure that patrons have a place to ask questions and collect information that will enhance their experience as they travel neighborhoods on foot. They are staffed with volunteers and DCA Ambassadors to answer any questions!

Sidewalk Concerts entertain patrons while showcasing both the neighborhoods and our town’s talented performing artists. Each neighborhood features sidewalk concerts in the afternoon while the central interchange at PlayhouseSquare is bustling with performances all day.

New in 2014

The trolley hub is moving to Playhouse Square, right under the new & beautiful chandelier. This will allow us to streamline our routes and access the amenities at that location which allow us to do a variety of activities.
