Work has begun on Section 1 of the Harvard Avenue resurfacing project (East 116th Street to East 131st Street).

One-way westbound traffic will be maintained between East 116th Street and East 131th Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured south along East 116th Street, east on Miles Road and north on East 131st Street.

Driveway access will be maintained at all times.  Motorists will need to be alert for lane shifts and barrels used to direct traffic. This project is scheduled for completion in November 2016.

The Harvard Avenue resurfacing project includes asphalt milling, pavement base repair, asphalt resurfacing, installation of ADA compliant ramps and new pavement markings.

2016 Wade Oval Wednesday Schedule!

 

From a few hundred people the first year, WOW has gone on to attract more than 5,000 people on popular band nights.

2016’s WOW series will include food trucks, and you can also bring a picnic and enjoy a night on the lawn at no cost.

There are three movie nights this year, including “Tomorrowland,” “Zootopia” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” and with the museums also open late, it’s safe to say Wednesdays are the new unofficial start of the weekend in Cleveland. WOW!

City Prepares for Downtown Filming of Major Motion Picture

The City of Cleveland is preparing for filming of portions of the major motion picture Fast and Furious 8 to begin in the downtown area on May 18, 2016.

construction1Multiple scenes will be filmed throughout downtown and will require road closures and traffic reroutes.  Filming is scheduled to run through June 10, 2016, however, dates are subject to change.

A complete list of closures and controlled areas are available here. 

Access to business and parking garages will be maintained in most cases.  The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority will reroute busses as necessary.
